Provincial Legal Office

Mandate

To advocate the common good in providing legal opinions to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan by providing them with sound legal ideas based on their expertise as well as on facts and laws. Likewise the Legal Officer as provided for by Art. XI, Par. B, Sections 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of R.A. 7160 is tasked to render the services as enumerated in the abovementioned provisions. In addition to the  forementioned functions, The Provincial Legal Office is also tasked to provide free legal assistance to indigents of the province who cannot afford the services of acounsel de parte, or a counsel of their own choice.

A province where Justice is sought to be served is a province where peace and equality is sought to be attained.

Mission

To provide more efficient legal assistance and a broader scope of adequate legal services more particularly in the field of human rights, agrarian reforms, drug cases protection of women and children, and the disabled, to the needy and the indigent litigant and the oppressed and to study and formulate measures, plans, and program to enhance the economic prosperity and social justice in the province.
